Software updates for Stand-alone versions are self-extracting patches which update your current Lucid software to the latest available version.
The installer will deploy all files necessary to effect a seamless update to the latest software version without changing the database storing student records.
Note that there are updates for older and newer stand-alones and for older version 6.0-N series (thin client networks).
If you have version 4.0-N series network software the V6.0-N series updates should not be used,
instead contact Lucid to obtain the full CD version which may be supplied free depending upon your current software licence status.

Software updates for Networked Versions 6.0 series are WinZip files containing up to 8 files, along with a Readme file with step by step upgrading instructions.
The upgrade should be deployed by an ICT professional or other staff member with a working knowledge of computers.
The installation of the update will not affect the database storing student records.
